Hampshire Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS)

Core Assets Children's Services have been commissioned to provide an impartial Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) in Hampshire.

This one service encompasses both Support4SEND (previously provided by Hampshire County Council), and Parent Voice (operated by The Rose Road Association). In response to feedback from families, the service will provide a single point of contact for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disability (SEND) and their parents and carers..

Southampton Information Advice and Support Service

They provide advice to children/young people with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities and their parents/carers. Their service is for people who live in Southampton.
The main aim of the IAS Service is to empower children and young people with special educational needs/disabilities and their parents/carers to make informed decisions about education, health and social care. IAS Services have a duty to provide information, advice and support to disabled children and young people, and those with SEN, and their parents.

Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Service for Portsmouth

  • A free and confidential service, provided independently from education, health and care providers
  • Impartial information, advice and support relating to special educational needs and disability (SEND)
  • Advice and support from independently trained Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Service staff
  • Support through the statutory processes relating to Statements of Special Educational Needs and the new Education Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment and planning
  • Information and practical support to find the answers to your questions in relation to education, social care and health services
